Advanced Email List with 5 Fields

That's why we've developed more advanced email lists. This feature has been out for a while, but it's not something we've discussed in much detail. The advanced email list is a way of pre-programming data into your survey in order to help you easily manage your respondents.

Normally, your respondents have some type of link. As long as it's a non-web link (web links are open links that anyone can click on, usually published on a website for polling purposes), it's a URL that is unique to your subject, and they'll be the only one that can click the link and answer the survey. If you're a business or a researcher, you may also already have data on that respondent.

Normally, companies have the applicant re-enter that data, placing their name, gender, demographics, age, etc., into the survey. Doing so can create a problem. First, not everyone wants to give these details, or knows the answer if it has to do with something within your business (for example, which help desk support operator they forgot).

Second, asking these questions makes the survey longer, and shorter surveys are better for response rates and data accuracy.

That's where the advanced email list feature comes in. It allows you to append data to the end of the survey URL in a way that automatically enters that data into the survey behind the scenes. The respondent doesn't see it, and as soon as the data is entered it becomes a part of the database, allowing you to easily view data and run analyses without your respondents answering the extra questions.

Data can be text based or numerically based, and it can easily hook up to any database system you already have in place to easily append data to the end of any email, based on the information you have on hand.
