Advanced Survey Logic Guide

Advanced survey logic features: skip patterns, branching, and conditional questions explained.

Introduction

We’re excited to announce SurveyMethods’ latest release – Advanced Survey Logic! This includes various new functionalities and enhancements to our skip logic module. Now you can customize the flow of your survey based on answers to previous questions, quotas, or custom fields.

Page Logic

Using page logic, you can customize the flow of your survey to present only the relevant sections of your survey campaign to respondents. The module has been redesigned with several new and useful functionalities. Here’s a look at the new features and enhancements! There are two types of page logic that you can apply to a page: conditional and unconditional.

Conditional page logic can be set up using questions, quotas, or custom fields. Unconditional page logic is set up without any conditions and triggers an action on click of Next or Submit button of the survey. You can base your logic conditions on answers to questions on the current page or a previous page, quotas, or custom fields.

There are various logic operators to set up your page logic conditions. You can now add multiple conditions to your logic rules using groups and a hierarchy of conditions using subgroups. There are a number of actions based on which you can customize the flow of your survey: Jump to Page, End Survey, Redirect to Website, Show a Message, Quota Action, Redirect to Another Survey, and Panel Integration.

We would love to hear your feedback so we can make additional enhancements. For detailed information, read our help documentation on page logic . If you have any questions or need help in setting up your logic rules, please contact us and get help from our support team.
