What Gets Copied

When you copy a survey, the new survey includes:

What Does NOT Get Copied

The following are NOT included in the copy:

  • Previous responses and data
  • Collectors and distribution links
  • Scheduled emails and reminders
  • Response counts and analytics

This ensures your new survey starts fresh with no data.

After Copying

Once your survey is copied:

1. Rename and Update

  • Give it a meaningful name (e.g., “Q1 2025 Customer Satisfaction”)
  • Update any date-specific text in questions
  • Modify questions as needed

2. Review All Questions

Walk through each question to:

  • Update any outdated content
  • Add or remove options
  • Adjust question types if needed

3. Check Skip Logic

If your original survey had skip logic:

  • Verify all logic paths still make sense
  • Update conditions if questions changed
  • Test all paths thoroughly

4. Update Settings

Review survey options:

  • Response limits
  • Survey availability dates
  • Completion redirect URL
