Email Question

The Email question type is specifically designed for collecting email addresses with built-in format validation to ensure you receive valid email addresses.

Adding an Email Question

Click Add Question in the Survey Editor
Select Email from the question types
Enter your question text (e.g., “What is your email address?”)
Configure validation options
Set whether the question is required

Built-in Validation

The Email question type automatically validates:

Format check - Ensures the entry follows email format (user@domain.com)
@ symbol required - Must contain exactly one @ symbol
Domain validation - Checks for valid domain structure
No spaces - Rejects entries with spaces

Error Messages

When validation fails, respondents see a helpful error message:

“Please enter a valid email address”
Custom error messages can be configured
