Response Notifications

Stay informed about survey responses by configuring email notifications. Get alerted whenever someone completes your survey so you can act on feedback quickly.

Setting Up Notifications

  1. Navigate to Collect in your survey
  2. Select a collector (Email Invitation or Web Link)
  3. Click Response Notifications in the collector settings
  4. Toggle notifications On
  5. Enter the email addresses to receive notifications

Notification Options

Immediate Notifications

Receive an email as soon as each response is submitted. Best for:

  • Time-sensitive surveys
  • Low-volume surveys
  • Surveys requiring immediate follow-up

Digest Notifications

Receive a summary of responses at scheduled intervals:

  • Daily digest - Once per day
  • Weekly digest - Once per week

Digests include response counts and completion statistics.

What’s Included in Notifications

Each notification email contains:

  • Survey name
  • Response timestamp
  • Respondent identifier (if not anonymous)
  • Link to view the full response
  • Quick response statistics

Multiple Recipients

Add multiple email addresses to notify your entire team:

  • Separate email addresses with commas
  • Up to 10 recipients per collector
  • Each recipient receives identical notifications

Managing Notifications

Per-Collector Settings

Each collector has its own notification settings. You can:

  • Enable notifications for some collectors but not others
  • Send different collectors to different recipients
  • Use different notification frequencies per collector

Disabling Notifications

Toggle notifications Off at any time without affecting your survey data.

Best Practices

  • Use immediate notifications for surveys with fewer than 50 expected responses
  • Use digest notifications for high-volume surveys to avoid inbox overload
  • Include a team distribution list email for shared surveys
  • Test notifications by submitting a test response

Troubleshooting

Not Receiving Notifications?

  1. Check your spam/junk folder
  2. Verify the email address is correct
  3. Ensure notifications are toggled on
  4. Confirm the collector is active

Too Many Notifications?

Switch from immediate to digest notifications for high-volume periods.
