Parent Engagement via Reporting

Part of the goal of the PTA – and all parents of students – is to recognize when the school is struggling and when the school is succeeding. While parents don't control funding, they do have a say in where their child goes to school, and can have significant influence within a closed educational system if their children aren't receiving the education they need. When you work at an elementary school, middle school, or high school, it's in your best interests to keep the parents informed about key factors of their child's education.

Whether it's the satisfaction levels, the areas of success, gender differences in scoring, etc., there are many issues that affect how well the student is doing and whether or not they will succeed. Even if your school is currently struggling with these metrics, greater transparency between parents and teachers can serve to benefit the educational process.
