Exporting Survey Data

Export your survey results for offline analysis, sharing, or archiving.

How to export

  1. Open your survey’s Analyze area.
  2. Click Export.
  3. Choose a format and options, then download.

Export formats

FormatBest for
PDFA polished, print-ready report with charts — ideal for sharing with stakeholders.
PowerPoint (PPTX)A slide deck you can drop into a presentation.
Excel (XLSX)Working with the data in a spreadsheet.
CSVImporting the raw data into other tools; the most universal, smallest format.

Export options

Depending on the format, you can choose:

  • Summary vs. all responses — export an aggregated summary of each question, or a full row-per-response dataset.
  • Include open-ended responses — add free-text answers (like comments) to the export.
  • Separate each question — give each question its own section/page in the report.
  • Paper size — A4 or Letter, for PDF and PowerPoint reports.
  • Filename — name the downloaded file.

Summary vs. full data

  • Summary produces aggregated statistics — counts, percentages, and charts — best for presentations and quick reporting.
  • All responses produces one row per respondent with every answer, best for detailed analysis in Excel or another tool.

Tips for large exports

For surveys with many responses:

  • Apply filters first to export just the segment you need.
  • Choose CSV for the fastest, smallest download.
  • Export all responses (rather than summary) when you plan to crunch the numbers yourself.
