Online survey software has made creating and running surveys significantly easier than it ever was before. Those that you want to check your survey for errors but you do not want making accidental changes to your survey should be given the "view" option instead. Assign "copy" ability for those that may need to copy and recreate a survey for a different department.

This is especially valuable for company-wide surveys that are otherwise going to have specific questions as decided by the individual that runs them. Assign "view" ability either for individuals whom you need to provide you with feedback, for supervisors you need to sign off before you run it, or for editors when you simply do not want any accidental changes to be made to the survey without your approval.
