Ask AI About Your Results
Ask AI lets you explore your survey data by typing plain-language questions and getting instant answers, complete with supporting charts. It’s a conversational way to dig into results without building filters or reports by hand.
Opening Ask AI
- Go to your survey’s Analyze tab.
- Click the Ask AI button in the top toolbar.
- A chat panel opens on the right (on mobile it slides in as a drawer).
If you don’t have any responses yet, or fewer than a handful, Ask AI won’t have enough data to work with. It needs at least 10 responses to give meaningful answers.
Asking a Question
Type your question into the box at the bottom of the panel and press Enter or click the send button. Ask AI reads your survey design and responses, then replies in a chat bubble.
You don’t need special syntax, just ask the way you’d ask a colleague:
- “What are the overall results?”
- “What is the average satisfaction rating?”
- “What do brand new members think?”
- “How do different groups compare?”
When you first open the panel, a few suggested questions appear. Click one to run it instantly.
Understanding the Answer
Each answer includes helpful context:

|---|---|
| Answer text | The AI’s summary in plain language |
| ”Based on X of Y responses” | How many responses were analyzed, and whether a filter was applied |
| Chart | An optional bar, column, pie, or donut chart supporting the answer |
If your question is unclear or the data is too thin, Ask AI replies with a short notice and offers alternative questions you can click to try instead.
Managing Your Conversation
Your questions and answers are saved with the survey, so the conversation is there when you return. To start fresh, click the Clear chat (trash) icon in the panel header.
Tips
- Clean up test responses before asking, so the numbers reflect real data.
- Ask follow-up questions naturally, one idea at a time works best.
- Treat answers as a starting point and cross-check important findings against the full results summary.
Ask AI is limited to surveys with up to 10,000 responses. Availability also depends on your plan.
