Contact Groups

Groups let you organize your contacts into named lists so you can send a survey to the right people. When you distribute by email, you choose which groups receive the invitation.

Finding Your Groups

Open Contacts from the main navigation. The Groups panel on the left shows All Contacts at the top, followed by each of your groups with its contact count. Click a group to view only the contacts that belong to it.

Creating a Group

  1. In the Groups panel, click Add Group.
  2. Enter a Group Name.
  3. Click Save.

The new group appears in the list and becomes selected so you can start adding contacts.

Adding Contacts to a Group

You can add contacts to a group in a few ways:

  • From the contact list - Select one or more contacts, then choose a group from the Add to group dropdown.
  • During import - Select or create a target group as part of the import flow.
  • When adding a contact - Turn on Add contact to groups on the contact form and pick the groups.

To take contacts out of a group, open that group, select the contacts, and click Remove from group. This removes them from the group only; it does not delete the contacts.

Managing a Group

Click the action menu (the icon next to a group name) for these options:

OptionWhat it does
Rename GroupChange the group’s name
Copy GroupDuplicate the group and its contacts into a new group
Delete GroupRemove the group (contacts remain in All Contacts)

Using Groups to Send a Survey

When you set up an email collector, you’ll reach the Select contact groups step. Choose one or more groups to send to, then continue. You must select at least one group before you can add the recipients.

For the full sending workflow, see Distributing Surveys via Email.
