Organizing Surveys with Folders

As your list of surveys grows, folders help you group related surveys together so your Survey Home stays easy to navigate. This guide covers creating folders, moving surveys into them, and filtering your list by folder.

Creating a Folder

On desktop, folders appear in the Folders rail on the left of Survey Home. On smaller screens, open the Folders button to reach the same list.

  1. Click the New folder button (the + in the Folders rail, or New folder in the Folders panel).
  2. Enter a name for the folder. Names may use letters, numbers, and spaces only.
  3. Click Create (or Save) to add it.

The new folder appears in your list right away, ready for surveys.

Moving a Survey into a Folder

Each survey has an actions menu on Survey Home:

  1. Open the actions menu on the survey you want to move.
  2. Hover over Move to folder to reveal your folders.
  3. Click the destination folder.
  4. In the confirmation dialog, click Confirm.

To move a survey somewhere else later, repeat the steps and choose a different folder.

Filtering by Folder

Click any folder in the Folders rail to show only the surveys it contains. The count beside each folder tells you how many surveys are inside. Click All surveys at the top to clear the filter and see everything again.

Sharing a Folder

On team accounts, folders can be shared with other members of your team. Hover over a folder and click the settings (gear) icon to open its sharing options.

Access levelWhat the member can do
ViewSee the surveys in the folder
EditView and make changes
ManageView, edit, and manage who else has access

A shared folder shows a small folder icon, and folders shared with you are labelled with the access level you were granted.

Moving a survey doesn’t affect its responses or design, so you can reorganize freely and still find everything under Analyze.
