Event Emails
Keep guests informed by emailing them directly from your event. SurveyMethods can send confirmations when they RSVP and let you broadcast updates to specific groups of guests.
Types of event email
- Confirmation — sent to a guest when their RSVP is confirmed.
- Manual — a one-off message you compose and send (for example, a schedule change or venue update).
- Reminder — a message scheduled to go out before the event.
- Waitlist invitation — sent to waitlisted guests when a seat opens, inviting them to claim it.
- Cancellation / Restore — notify guests when an event is cancelled or restored.
Compose and send
- Open My Events and select your event.
- Go to the event’s Emails section and create a new message.
- Enter a subject and body. You can use merge tags such as event details and the events link in the body.
- Choose who receives it (see targeting below) and send.
Target the right guests
Every event email can be aimed at a segment of your guests:
- Yes / No / Maybe — by RSVP response.
- Waitlisted — only guests currently on the waitlist.
- All — everyone who RSVP’d.
By default, event emails go to confirmed guests. Only guests who provided an email address on their RSVP can be emailed.
Delivery
Emails are sent from your account’s verified sending address. If email delivery hasn’t been enabled for events on your plan, messages are prepared and logged but not sent — contact support if you’re unsure.
