Adding an Event to a Survey
Events are collected through a Calendar Event question. Adding one to your survey turns it into an event registration form.
Add a Calendar Event question
- Open your survey in the Survey Editor.
- Click Add Question and choose Calendar Event.
- Create a new event (or select an existing one from My Events).
Fill in the event details
| Field | What it does |
|---|---|
| Event name | The title shown to respondents. |
| Description | Optional details about the event. |
| Starts / Ends | The event date and time. |
| Location name | Venue name (e.g. “Main Auditorium”). |
| Address | Street address, used for the map/directions. |
| Total capacity | The number of seats available. Leave capacity off for an unlimited event. |
| Informational only (no RSVP or capacity) | Display event details without collecting RSVPs. |
| Message when full | Shown to respondents once every seat is taken. |
| Waitlist message | Shown to respondents who join the waitlist. |
What respondents see
When a respondent reaches the Calendar Event question, they see the event details and choose to attend (Yes), decline (No), or answer Maybe. If the event is full, a Yes joins the waitlist and the respondent sees your Message when full / Waitlist message.
Tip: If your survey collector is anonymous, ask respondents for an email on the RSVP so you can send them a confirmation. Providing an email removes anonymity for that response — respondents are warned before they do so.
