Migration FAQ

Quick answers to the questions we hear most often about moving to the new SurveyMethods.

Do I need to move anything myself?

No. Your surveys, responses, and contacts are migrated for you. When your account is ready, everything is already in place — there’s nothing to import.

Will I lose any responses?

No. All collected responses move with their surveys, including the original submission dates. See What Transfers.

Yes. Old web and email links redirect to the new survey automatically, and personal links stay secure. See Your Existing Survey Links Still Work.

Will people I invited still be able to finish partial responses?

Yes. Partial responses carry over, and respondents can pick up where they left off through their existing link.

Do I need to warn people who unsubscribed?

No. Your opt-out list carries over, so anyone who unsubscribed stays unsubscribed. See Opt-Outs & Unsubscribes.

Why does one of my surveys need changes before it can move?

A few older features — such as conjoint questions or per-survey sharing — work differently now. We flag any survey that needs a small adjustment so nothing is lost. See Reviewing Your Surveys After Migration.

What happened to my mailing lists?

They’re now contact groups, with your custom fields intact. See Contacts & Lists.

Where did survey collaboration go?

Sharing moved from individual surveys to folders. Share a folder and choose View, Edit, or Manage access.

What about Newsletters and Polls?

These aren’t part of the new SurveyMethods. If you used them, contact our team about the best alternative.

My event registration survey — is that gone?

Not at all. It becomes a first-class Event, with your registrants, capacity, and waitlists preserved.

Something looks wrong — what do I do?

Reach out to our support team. During a migration we’d always rather you ask than assume.
